I titled this one "comfort zone" because, after several days of painting rather complicated little scenes, I decided to switch to a still life, which usually is easier for me. This little stoneware pitcher is a favorite, one of the first "New England pottery" pieces that I bought when we moved here from Texas nearly 30 years ago. Pretty amazing that it's survived 3 kids and countless meals! And "comfort zone" also has another connotation. I love a cup of tea, sometime with milk, and sometimes with lemon, while I paint in the studio. So this little painting sort of puts me in my happy place. I hope you like it too! It's 5x7, oil on canvas. Just
