 These paintings depict portions of the course of the Hardrock 100 Mile Endurance Run, a footrace through the beautiful and rugged San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado.  It is an event like no other, in a place like no other - where runners will navigate 100  wild and tough miles of rivers, scree slopes, snowfields, impossibly steep and rocky climbs, precipitous drop-offs,  the occasional territorial marmot, and even a tunnel thrown in for good measure. What's not to love?
